The Carriage Barn Arts Center in Waveny Park has developed new programming to connect our community of member artists to the educational community seeking to incorporate art into their curriculums.  Creative Community Connections was designed to build small motor coordination through art skills, expose children to design concepts that link to their math and science curriculum as well as introduce them to different artistic styles and techniques through art history.

Creative Community Connections began by targeting the Bridgeport public schools that have removed all art curriculum from elementary students due to restrictions in funding.  The program strives to bring back the arts to all children who desperately need a new perspective in their curriculum.  This 2006/07 school year we are doubling our efforts thanks to a donation from Tom Fowler Inc. are  We providing arts education to just fewer than 200 students.  We are working hard to raise awareness and funding to meet the needs of all children.

Any help is greatly appreciated and helps to increase our outreach.
To supply one child with instruction and materials for the year costs $120;
a classroom of 25 students, $3,000;
a grade level $9,000.
We need your support at any level to help make a difference. (Any supplies also welcomed)
